Graduation Project - D.o.o.g. your secrets

Everybody has their secrets. But should we share them, or should we keep them? D.o.o.g. is a concept which offers a solution to keep your secrets secret. It allows you to hide your secrets in five different objects that each represent a different subject: identity, finance, relationships, failure and sex.

Oh my, it's been a while guys. Sorry for that. Life can be pretty hectic sometimes, hectic in a positive way.

Anyhow, these are some sketches for my graduation project. The subject is keeping secrets and the objective of my project is to provide people with some safe alternative for sharing secrets. Basically, I'm going to make six safekeepers where people can safely hide and keep their secrets. These six objects each represent secrets about a specific subject: money, sex, identity, personal failure, relationships and delinquency. I'm planning on making them into tangible, usable, three-dimensional illustrations.

I'm currently preparing for the Kunststripbeurs in the Janskerk in Utrecht this saturday. I'll be selling some originals and some prints there. So, if you happen to be in or around Utrecht this weekend: drop by! I have cookies.

Not sure what she's doing, it just came out like this. The only thing I can say is that she's taking a ball of light with her in her fall...

Forgive me for the really, really bad photograph. Apparently my scanner decided to pretend he didn't know my computer. Which, my computer said, is slightly annoying and above all rude.

Nothing below the sky...or is there?

Some work I made because I simply had the urge to make it. I could also tell you there are some pretty incomprehensible concepts behind these two... But that would be lying.

Sometimes one just has to clear one's mind in order to make some space for the pretty incomprehensible concepts to be let in again.

Maybe they display my unconscious deeper feelings that are there all the time. Maybe they want to tell everyone, including my conscious self, what the hell is going on inside that crappy, sad little head of mine ... And maybe there are some pretty incomprehensible concepts in there after all...

Back from ... whatever

Made some sketches while I was enjoying the view at the lovely Greek island of Samos... I suspect the guy on the last sketch was somehow aware of me drawing him. The others were totally ignorant of it though.
